Welcome to the Services Trades Queensland (STQ) website dedicated to assisting employers to meet the requirements of their enterprise bargaining agreements (EBAs).

STQ is a unique organisation that offers members a competitive advantage in the marketplace through effective advocacy and cutting edge industry training, professional development, employment and workplace health and safety services.

STQ is unique because it represents both employers and employees, bringing them together on matters of mutual benefit.

The website has been developed in partnership with industry and the Plumbers Union Queensland, and is designed to make reporting as simple as possible. The site has two key components:

  1. An Online Self-Audit tool to assist employers to assess organisational EBA compliance. The self-audit will be completed twice-yearly.
  2. An EBA Compliance Assessment tool to be completed annually to assess financial aspects of EBA compliance. This assessment will be undertaken by an independent accounting firm.

The Program will provide transparency in relation to compliance with EBAs and will give employers peace of mind by confirming they are paying the correct entitlements to their employees.

STQ will issue compliance certificates to all contractors who demonstrate compliance and will distribute a compliant-contractor list to major builders.

Our Privacy Commitment

The purpose of this site is to make EBA compliance reporting simpler and more efficient for employers. The information provided by employers will not be used for any purpose other than to assess and verify compliance.

Under the terms of your industry agreement, a limited amount of financial information must be disclosed in order to verify compliance.

The EBA Compliance Assessment is undertaken by an independent accounting firm. Your financial documents are provided directly to the accountants through a secure portal. Your documents will not be made available to STQ or the Plumbers Union Queensland.

If a serious breach of the EBA is identified through the review and other parties need to become involved to remedy the breach, an ordered process will commence which adheres to the terms of the industry agreement and balances the interests of workers with company privacy.
